Often, patients don’t put a lot of thought into the actual operation of their dentist’s office. They expect to see somebody at the front desk – whether an office manager or someone you also see helping chairside – as well as, that person who assists the dentist. And, of course, the dentist! Summer offers an almost-unlimited number of picture-perfect photo opportunities. Heck we even have TWO specialty days this month devoted exclusively to capturing those special moments – first, we had #NationalSelfieDay, then finish up June with #WorldCameraDay! And considering most people now walk around with high-tech digital cameras in their pockets, snapping those Insta-worthy shots is quick and easy….and has become an automatic action for so many people. Opening any sort of healthcare or medical office involves a major financial investment, between the specialized (and expensive) equipment required for your practice and the infrastructure to support the aforementioned equipment, trained personnel, and administrative operations, it can add up quickly. Families and friends were unable to celebrate milestones or holidays together. Social gatherings became a distant memory. So, after two years of this austerity and lack of “fun” we’re ALL ready to embrace the upcoming holiday festivities…to paraphrase Prince, and party like it’s 2019! But, are you REALLY ready???
Especially here in the South, most of us grew up knowing how seriously we take spring cleaning…and we mean business! But while you perform whatever spring cleaning ritual in your home, DON’T overlook the value of one for your dental office. Of course, you perform those basic and required daily-weekly-monthly sanitation and cleaning tasks. And providing a hygienic environment for your patients and staff remains a HIGH priority. Yet, we can easily forget those “less-frequent” cleaning and maintenance activities. So what better time, than spring?
